Try the fish, tip your waitress

For all you beginning foodies out there, or even experienced ones- I'll give a tip every so often about things you may or may not know when it comes to eating out, or in for that matter. Let me hear your opinions! Or add on if you feel the urge, don't fight it.

This is something I learned from my mom:
Tip #1: A place can have phenomenal food, but if the dessert is made by the chef take a pass and grab some ice cream or a piece of chocolate instead. Pastry Chefs learn about baking desserts- they're the professionals. Usually regular chefs don't have that background, so go ahead and taste but don't say I didn't warn you.
